Down hill skiing

For the lovers of down hill skiing and snowboarding serves on the borderland of Jizerské mountains and Giant mountains huge net of slopes of all difficulties and quality. From the biggest Krkonoše ski resort is nearest Harrachov (15 minutes by car). Fourseat skichair of ski resort Rokytnice nad Jizerou is far 30 minutes by car. 200 metres from our family hotel is ski resort Černá Říčka, ideal for families with children and medium-advanced skiers. Not far from our family hotel are other ski resorts such as Rejdice (15 minutes), Paseky nad Jizerou (20 minutes), Tanvaldský Špičák (15 minutes).

We offer ski courses for beginners with our own ski instructor. Price of 1 hour lesson is 300 CZK.

Černá říčka
The closest ski resort to our family hotel is ski area Černá Říčka. Ski Resort Černá Říčka is located at the edge of the village of Desná. It is located at the ASL elevation of 685 to 788 meters, and good exposure of the slope allows high-quality skiing on natural snow. Downhill courses feature difficulty levels of GREEN, BLUE, and RED. An overall length of the downhill courses is 2.4 kilometers. The main downhill course is artificially lighted and allows evening skiing. The slopes are machine-treated, and the parking lot is available near the bottom ski-lift station. The resort also features an electronic dispatch client system, fast food, toilets, ski service shop, and ski and snowboard equipment rental shop. There is also a children’s Rope ski lift available, which offers skiing and snowboarding schools for beginning or advanced children and adults. Facilities for snowboarding, jumping and board sliding are available, too.

Bukovka (Josefův Důl)
There is in near-by Josefův Důl (15 minutes by car from us) recent ski area Bukovka with second longest ski slope in Jizerské hory. There are three ski lifts with hour capacity 1800 persons. The system of artificial snow guarantees excellent snow conditions. Skiers can use the artifical lighted ski slope in the evening hours every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The area is accesible from lower and upper ski lift stations and there is parking on the both. There is nice snowpark prepared for freestylers and there is ski/snowboard school SNOW-HOW.CZ for beginners. The snack and toilets are straight on the slopes.

Harrachov
One of the greatest and most famous ski resort Harrachov is only 15 minutes by car from our family hotel. Harrachov offers for the lovers of snowy slopes downhill run sof all difficulties with a system of artificial snow covering. Two fast fourseats skilift will take you on Čertova hora mountain (altitude of 1020m). Families with young children, beginning skiers and snowboardists can choose from wide offer of skiing and snowboarding schools. From the wide surroundings is visible mammoth ski jump K185.

Rokytnice nad Jizerou
30 minutes by car from our family hotel is other big Krkonoše ski resort Rokytnice nad Jizerou. Slopes of Studenov and Horní Domky (altitude of 620 – 1315 metres) offers perfect skiing for all categories of skiers and snowboardists with an overall length of 15 kilometres and breadth till 100 metres. Skiresort is equiped with 2 skichair, 10 skilift and with systém of artificial snow. Snowpark with skilift is available for Free style lovers.

Rejdice
15 minutes by car from our family hotel is ski resort Kořenov – Rejdice. Ski area is equiped with skichair, skilift, with system of artificial snow and Skidata FreeMotion.Gate. Visitors of ski resort will welcome opportunity of night skiing. The overall length of slopes is 950m, the total difficulty is between BLUE and RED. Ski area is suitable for beginners and medium-advanced skiers.

Paseky nad Jizerou
Famous ski resort Paseky nad Jizerou is 20 minutes by car from our family hotel. You can enjoy excellent skiing on large and very well maintained slopes. Ski rent has a wide choice of ski and snowboard equipment. The beginners can attend skiing school. Ski resort has seven skilifts and system of artificial snow covering.

Tanvaldský Špičák
Aprox. 15 minutes by car from U Raka is the biggest ski resort of Jizerské mountains Tanvaldský Špičák. The slopes of all difficulties can satisfy the skiers of all levels of expertise. Ski resort disposes itself of skiing trails about overall length aprox. 6 kilometres. Lot of significant European championships have taken place there. Tanvaldský Špičák offers fourseat skichair, 5 skilifts with different lengthes, snowpark for adherents of snowboarding. Skiing trails are maintained every day and have enlightement for night skiing.

Cross-country skiing

Jizerské mountains are by its character one of the best places for cross-country skiing lovers. Cross-country skiing tracks have a long tradition. There are several access points close to our family hotel, where you can immediately access to the cross-country skiing tracks of Jizerská magistrála (cross-country skiing network), that lead to very interesting places a beauties of Jizerské mountains.

Jizerská magistrála (Cross-country skiing network of Jizerské mountains)
Jizerská magistrála belongs to the most visited cross-country skiing network. The machine treatment of these tracks came in 1984 on the initiative of the organizers of the Jizerská 50 (cross-country skiing race). They wanted to all those participating in the race to be able to train for the race throughout the whole winter season and not just on the preparation days efore the race itself. This idea was widely supported and the Jizerské mountains became the first in the Czech Republic treating by snowkings cross-country skiing tracks for the general public. Today Jizerská magistrála is currently around 115 kilometres long. Cross-country skiing tracks are used the whole year, because most of them are on the maintained ways and are suitable for hiking, biking and inline skating. Visit rate at Jizerská magistrála during the spring, summer and automn is the same like during winter months. Jizerská magistrála has five branches of the main track. Every access point has orientation map with information on length of tracks and direction (18 maps and 56 guideposts).
